Dr. Sekiyunzi Jackson Z

Dr. Sekiyunzi is a registered Pharmacist and a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda and currently the Pharmacist of Record on a number of AMBSO’s Clinical Trials.
Dr. Sekiyunzi obtained his Pharmacy degree from Makerere University and since joining AMBSO he has accumulated experience in clinical trial pharmacy including:

1. Study product management (ordering, importation, receipt, storage, inventory, temperature monitoring, product transfer, destruction, record keeping).
2. Oversight of pharmacy facilities (i.e. space, security, equipment, power & water supply, infection control).
3. Quality improvement & management; Compounding/Preparing sterile products; Randomization.
4. Coordination of site visits/pharmacy tours and in the development of Pharmacy procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Dr. Sekiyunzi has a very good understanding of the local regulatory framework governing pharmaceuticals (NDA) in Uganda.
