Overview

About This Program

AMBSO partnered with the Infectious Disease Institute (IDI) to scale up Voluntary Medical male Circumcision in two Ugandan Districts namely; Mpigi and Wakiso. VMMC is a proven biomedical prevention intervention with about 60% protective effect (efficacy). The project was designed to support the Uganda Ministry of Health in HIV prevention initiatives and was implemented in high risk populations in the Central region.

To increase demand for HIV prevention services including HIV counseling and testing (HTS) and VMMC.

To provide quality male circumcision services (VMMC) to males aged 15 years and above

3

To strengthen safe behavioral practices for reproductive health through counseling
