Epidemiological Studies

AMBSO’s Epidemiological Studies Program focuses on understanding the distribution, causes, and impact of diseases within communities across Uganda.

Through population-based surveillance, field research, and data-driven investigations, the program generates evidence that supports disease prevention, health policy development, and improved healthcare delivery. The program addresses major public health challenges including HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, mental health, maternal and child health, and behavioral health risks.

By working closely with communities, healthcare facilities, government agencies, and international research partners, AMBSO aims to strengthen public health systems and improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations through evidence-based research and innovation.
