Furthermore, faculty members from Mak-SPH play crucial roles as investigators in AMBSO’s research studies, ensuring that the research is conducted with academic rigor and relevance. This collaboration also extends to the joint writing and securing of research grants, with both institutions working together to fund and support impactful public health research. He is a co-founder and board member of Africa Medical and Behavioral Sciences Organization (AMBSO). With over 20 years of experience in epidemiological research, he has significantly contributed to the organization’s strategic direction to foster research excellence. Dr. Kagaayi holds a PhD from Case Western Reserve University, a MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and a medical degree from Makerere University. His extensive research work, published in leading journals, underscores his commitment to advancing public health. At AMBSO, he also supports the establishment of research training experiences for Master’s and PhD students, fostering the next generation of public health leaders. At AMBSO he gives expert support focused on mentoring Junior Investigators in scientific writing and publication as well as ensuring proper implementation of AMBSO’s Population Cohort studies.
