Ralph Huits is a Dutch internist and adult infectious disease physician at the Sacro Cuore Don Calabria hospital in Negrar, Verona, Italy. As a senior researcher at the hospital’s Department of Infectious Tropical diseases and Microbiology he is committed to research capacity development and service delivery in Low and Middle Income Countries. Dr. Huits is also affiliated with the NatuRA Research group at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Since September 2021, Dr. Huits is a Co-Principal Investigator (Research lead) of GeoSentinel, the emerging infectious diseases network of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, that comprises 71 sites in 29 countries.
